About 4,000 students are enrolled annually online from across the country and on campuses and centers across 86,500 square miles, two time zones, and ten of Nevada's largest counties. Academic Success Center
Welcome to GBC's Academic Success Centers (ASC) on the Elko campus and at GBC's rural centers offer the following services to GBC students, all at no cost. GBC is committed to your success!
- Live tutoring -- free to all GBC students
- Free placement testing
- Proctored testing
Appointments and Testing Sessions
Important Update: New Way to Schedule Tutoring and Testing Appointments!
Starting August, 2025, students will no longer call to schedule tutoring or testing appointments.
Instead, you'll now schedule all appointments online through MyApps:
- Log in to your MyApps account.
- Click the WCONLINE icon.
- Update your profile — turn on email notifications, select the campus you live closest to, and do not update your password (you will always log in through MyApps).
- Choose your appointment type:
- In-person testing
- Testing on Zoom
- Tutoring sessions
Follow the directions on each schedule to complete your appointment booking.
Scheduling online is quick, easy, and available 24/7, but all appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance.

Need help with Chemistry, Math, or Writing? Our tutors are here to support you, and it's completely free for GBC students. Make an appointment today by logging onto WCONLINE via the MyApps Portal.
Free Tutoring Anytime, Anywhere on WebCampus with Brainfuse
Brainfuse tutoring allows students to get live help from online tutors whenever they need it. Whether it's math homework, writing an essay, or getting ready for a test, students can connect with a tutor who is ready to help.
