About 4,000 students are enrolled annually online from across the country and on campuses and centers across 86,500 square miles, two time zones, and ten of Nevada's largest counties. Academic Success Center
Welcome to GBC's Academic Success Centers (ASC) on the Elko campus and at GBC's rural centers offer the following services to GBC students, all at no cost. GBC is committed to your success!
- Live tutoring -- free to all GBC students
- Free placement testing
- Proctored testing
- Open computer labs

FREE Math Refresher in EdReady
Refresh your math skills in EdReady at any time and at any place where you have an internet access. Three math refreshers are provided:
- Math Refresher - Arithmetic
- Math Refresher - Elementary Algebra
- Math Refresher - College Level Math
Use our free resources and make your improvement in Math. You can DO IT!
Go to GBC's EdReady site and click "Get Started" to set up your FREE account.
Elko Live Tutoring and Testing Center
In-person Tutoring services are available Monday thru Friday for both Math and Writing. Students can call to set up an appointment and Walk-ins are welcome! It also includes a Testing Center!
Online Tutoring via Zoom
The ASC offers English/Writing and Math tutoring via Zoom. To schedule an online Zoom tutoring appointment, call the ASC front desk at 775.327.2247.
Computer Lab
The ASC computer lab is available for GBC students during open hours. Study groups are welcome!
The Computer Lab includes 60-station computer lab. Computers are equipped with Windows 7 and the full Microsoft Office 2010 Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher, Access, etc.).
