Associate of Applied Science

The Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree is designed to improve everything from your hands-on skills to your management abilities. The AAS prepares you for:

  • Entry-level employment in specific fields, technologies, or industries, or, if you are already employed, for upgrading your current position (the AAS program includes courses necessary for supervisory roles, for example).
  • Enrollment in GBC ’s Bachelor of Applied Science degree program.

A minimum of 60 total credits is required for the AAS. Most specific programs require more. Check specific majors (see menu at left) or consult an adviser for specifics. All AAS programs include General Education Requirements. Please also refer to refer to college-wide graduation requirements for the AS degree. For information about specific AAS degrees offered make a selection below:

Technical and occupational courses included in AAS degree programs are not intended for transfer to other institutions, although courses fulfilling General Education Requirements typically are transferable. If your intention is to prepare for transfer to a university, explore the Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degrees.
