Orla Mining Invests $100,000 in Great Basin College to Expand Industrial Maintenance Training

Orla and GBC members pose for a donation photo. The Great Basin College Foundation announced today a $100,000 gift from Orla Mining to support workforce training. Beginning in fall 2026, the investment will fund a new Industrial Maintenance instructor based at the Elko Campus and enable Great Basin College (GBC) to add an additional hybrid section of its Industrial Maintenance program designed specifically for working students.

This expanded instructional capacity will allow GBC to serve more students pursuing careers in industrial maintenance, a field essential to Nevada's mining operations and other process-based and manufacturing industries. Students in the program gain a broad and highly valuable skill set, including pipefitting, hydraulics and pneumatics, industrial pumps, conveyors, and other systems used to safely maintain and repair equipment across a range of industrial environments.

"This is an exciting partnership that benefits both students and industry by enabling students to continue working while advancing their education and helping employers build the skilled talent pipeline our rural communities depend on," said Dr. Amber Donnelli, president of Great Basin College.

"We are incredibly grateful to Orla Mining for investing in Nevada's workforce," said Dr. David Stoddard, dean of industrial technology and workforce development at Great Basin College. "By supporting a new instructor at our Elko Campus, Orla is helping expand access for working adults and addressing the continued demand for skilled maintenance technicians across our region."

The new hybrid section of the program will offer flexible, online coursework paired with weekly in-person labs to support hands-on skill development. This model is designed to support students who balance full-time work and family responsibilities with advancing their careers. With employers across Nevada reporting shortages of qualified maintenance technicians, the expanded Industrial Maintenance program will help strengthen the workforce pipeline in industries that are vital to Nevada's economy and prepare graduates for high-wage, high-demand jobs.

"Orla Mining is committed to helping expand opportunities for local students through this partnership with Great Basin College," said Donald Dwyer, general manager. "Industrial Maintenance careers are critical to safe, reliable mining operations, and this investment ensures more students have access to high-quality training that empowers them to build sustainable careers and strong futures."

GBC's Industrial Maintenance program is part of the college's ongoing commitment to powering Nevada's workforce through hands-on, industry-aligned education. This partnership with Orla Mining reinforces that shared mission. Together, GBC and Orla are expanding access to high-quality training that supports the state's mining sector, critical minerals development, manufacturing, and other growing industries, strengthening the workforce and creating new opportunities for Nevada's rural communities.

Orla's corporate strategy is to acquire, develop, and operate mineral properties where the Company's expertise can substantially increase stakeholder value. The Company has three material projects, consisting of two operating mines and one development project, all 100% owned by the Company: (1) Camino Rojo, in Zacatecas State, Mexico, an operating gold and silver open-pit and heap leach mine. The property covers over 139,000 hectares which contains a large oxide and sulphide mineral resource, (2) Musselwhite Mine, in Northwestern Ontario, Canada, an underground gold mine that has been in operation for over 25 years and produced over 6 million ounces of gold, with a long history of resource growth and conversion, and (3) South Railroad, in Nevada, United States, a feasibility-stage, open pit, heap leach gold project located on the Carlin trend in Nevada. The technical reports for the Company's material projects are available on Orla's website at www.orlamining.com, and on SEDAR+ and EDGAR under the Company's profile at www.sedarplus.ca and www.sec.gov, respectively.
