Human Services BAS Program Entrance Requirements

Acceptance into the program requires a completed associate degree from a regionally accredited institution, including 12 credits of lower division human services courses (or their transfer equivalent) from the following list:

  • HMS 101 - Introduction to Human Services, 3 credits
  • HMS 102 - Introduction to Counseling, 3 credits
  • CPD 116 - Substance Abuse Fundamentals, 3 credits
  • HMS 200 - Ethics in Human Service, 3 credits

Program Completion Requirements

To complete the program, students will need to maintain a 2.5 GPA in all core and program course requirements (i.e., HMS Courses). See the most current GBC Course Catalog for important additional information about the Bachelor of Applied Science program.
