We have received more than $25,000 in scholarships for upperclassmen students in the GBC/UNR 3+1 Social Work Program.
Applications must be received by Friday, June 28, 2024 at 5:00 pm to be considered.
For the Rural NV Behavioral Health Scholarship, we are planning to award one scholarship at $1,500. Recipients will receive $750 in the Fall 2024 semester and an additional $750 in the Spring 2025 semester. You must complete the attached Rural NV Behavioral Health Scholarship application attached to this email and submit it to the GBC Financial Aid office to apply.
For the NGM Behavioral Health Scholarship, we are planning to award five scholarships at $5,000 each. Recipients of this scholarship must reside in Elko, Eureka, Lander, or Humboldt counties. Recipients will receive $2,500 at the beginning of the Fall 2024 semester and an additional $2,500 during Spring 2025 semester. You must complete the attached NGM Behavioral Health Scholarship application attached to this email and submit it to the GBC Financial Aid office to apply.
Due to the restrictions surrounding where recipients must reside, there are few eligible students. If you are an eligible student, the likelihood of receiving the scholarship is high. Additionally, the scholarship application does not require a FASFA, a statement of financial need, etc. For these reasons, I highly encourage any student who thinks they may be eligible to apply!
Completed application packets should be submitted to the GBC Financial Aid office.
