President Dr. Amber Donnelli

Welcome to Great Basin College

It is my privilege to welcome you to Great Basin College, where our mission of transforming lives through education guides everything we do.

At GBC, we believe education creates opportunity not only for our students, but for their families, our communities, and the future of Nevada. Whether you are beginning your college journey, preparing for a new career, advancing in your current profession, or pursuing a four-year degree, GBC will help you achieve your goals.

As Nevada’s rural college, we are proud to serve an expansive 86,000-square-mile service area, but our reach extends far beyond those boundaries. Through accessible campuses, centers, online learning, and innovative educational delivery, GBC serves students throughout Nevada, across the United States, and beyond. Wherever you are, we provide you with an accessible, high-quality college education and the support you need to succeed.

Our programs are designed to respond to the changing needs of our students, communities, and employers. From healthcare, education, and the liberal arts to mining, technology, skilled trades, and other high-demand workforce fields, GBC connects education with opportunity. Through strong partnerships with industry, schools, community organizations, and leaders throughout Nevada, we prepare graduates to strengthen our workforce and contribute to the communities where they live and work.

Most importantly, GBC is a place where students matter. Our faculty and staff are committed to creating an environment where you feel supported, challenged, and encouraged to succeed. We recognize that every student arrives with different experiences, responsibilities, and aspirations.  So, we will meet you where you are and help you get where you want to go.

I invite you to explore the many opportunities available at Great Basin College and discover what your future can hold. No matter where you begin your journey, GBC will help you move forward. We are proud to be part of your  journey and look forward to seeing what you accomplish.
