Join the Great Basin College Industrial Millwright Program and RAM Enterprise Inc. from 9:00 a.m. – 12 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6 to explore degree programs and careers available to those interested in becoming part of Nevada’s Industrial Millwright Technology field.
The tour will begin at 9 a.m. at the GBC Industrial Millwright Lab in the Diekhans Centers for Industrial Technology, room 111. Millwright Faculty will host an open house and answer questions about the Millwright program, including scholarships and local internship opportunities. Participants will also learn about the skills a millwright needs to diagnose and repair stationary industrial equipment.
At 10:30 a.m. the tour will then lead to RAM Enterprise Inc. where participants will be able to get up close and personal with daily operations, meet with RAM employees and learn about the career opportunities available. The tour is scheduled to conclude at noon.
Millwright graduates often obtain careers immediately following graduation due to the high demand in the millwright field.
Interested high school students who want to participate will have first priority. Great Basin College students and community members who are interested in attending GBC are also encouraged to RSVP by December 4.
