You have calculator in "scientific notation" mode. Press the "MODE" key (top of calculator), then select "NORMAL" then "ENTER. "2ND" "MODE" (Quit) to get out. That should do it!

My first ti-84 Plus. For the example (1to the 5th power +3 -2x3 sq) my calculator stays in the power of mode even and adds 3)

First, be sure to make sure you have the most recent OS (Operating System) for your calculator. Visit the ti web site for that. If you use the power key, after you type the exponent, just press the "right arrow" key to get out. I hope this helps.

great video!!! i love the way you explain in every little detail! but i already know the basics taught myself and my teacher on the ti-36 sorry!!! the fraction bar exponents and stuff i use it for basics like conversions and solvers it in puts the way u write it down i just want to learn how to graph systems and inequalities but really thanks!! ive never had someone explain to me step by step like that before!!! and whens part 2? based on the status its been over 4 years!
