The student will be introduced to HCFA's HCPCS three-level coding system, including basic coding guidelines and practice using CPT-4. Designed to meet the needs of the medical record practitioner in hospital medical record/billing departments, physicians' offices, and insurance companies for both reimbursement and research needs.
