Great Basin College’s Testing Center is available for GBC and non-GBC students to take proctored paper and online exams.  All tests assigned by GBC instructors are free for GBC students to take.  All other exams are subject to a standard fee that must be paid at the Controller’s Office prior to testing.

GBC students do not need to make appointments to take class exams or the Accuplacer.

Costs

Testing Fees are to be paid to GBC Controller’s Office prior to testing:

 

• GBC Tests: Free
• In-State Institutions: $12.50
• Out-of-state Institutions: $17.50
• Western Governors University: $15.00 fee paid by WGU
• CLEP Testing: $17.50 is the GBC fee. An additional fee of $77/test is charged by CLEP.
• Praxis: Fees are charged by Praxis. There is no GBC testing fee.

Students: Before scheduling your test

Individuals taking exams must present a picture ID with a first and last name that matches the name on the exam.  The ability to test will be forfeited if proper identification is not presented at the time of the exam.

Please read all of the Great Basin College Testing Center Rules and Regulations before arriving to take an exam. 

 

For GBC instructor-assigned tests, bring the Testing Center Form filled out by your instructor.

GBC Instructors: Arranging testing for your students 

The Testing Center in the ASC is a great place to have your paper on computer-based exams proctored.  Please use one of the following forms to request a proctored exam for one student or an entire class.
